MOTÖRHEAD took part in its first record-signing in Europe since 1992 on December 10, 2008 at Media Markt in Bäckebol (about 10 minutes of the city center),Gothenburg, Sweden. The event, which was held a few hours before the band's show at Scandinavium with AIRBOURNE and WITCHCRAFT, was attended by around 300 people. Fans were being asked to provide only one item per person to be signed but Lemmy and the rest of the band reportedly autographed everything that was being placed in front of them.

MOTÖRHEAD's previously announced Musink tour with SOCIAL DISTORTION, which was scheduled to launch January 30, 2009, was canceled due to the current economic climate.
On November 21, Walt Disney Pictures released "Bolt", starring the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus, and featuring MOTÖRHEAD's song "Dog-Face Boy" from the band's "Sacrifice" album. The song is in a mailroom scene where a young worker is listening to it on his headphones and inadvertently wraps super-dog Bolt up in a box that gets shipped off to New York City.
Stranger things have happened, as Disney isn't the first to pick up on the MOTÖRHEAD mystique: there was a MOTÖRHEAD song in the "SpongeBob SquarePants" movie, too. Just goes to show you that there are MOTÖRHEAD fans of all ages everywhere. And says Lemmy, the band's indestructible and renowned leader, "It's never too early to get the kids started on our music!"
